The third Twenty20 cricket between Australia and England at Old Trafford on Sunday was canceled before a ball was thrown because to the unrelenting rain. Consequently, the series concluded in a 1-1 draw. The game was supposed to begin at 1:30 p.m. GMT (2:30 p.m. local time). The toss and the match were postponed due to the heavy rain that fell in Manchester during the morning. The pitch and its coverings developed deep puddles that prevented play.

In order to get a result, a minimum five-over match had to be played before the official deadline of 5:46 p.m. (4:46 p.m. GMT). But just before a scheduled pitch inspection, there was another deluge, so the umpires had to call the match at 4:18 p.m. (3:18 p.m. GMT).

Liam Livingstone’s 87 runs helped England win the second Twenty20 Twenty-20 match in Cardiff on Friday, bringing the series level at 1-1. Australia had prevailed by 28 runs in the first game at Southampton. Now, England will play Australia in a five-game one-day international series that begins at Nottingham’s Trent Bridge on Thursday.
