Sarwate (79 off 185 balls) and Ahammed Imran (37 off 83) also played key roles in stabilizing the innings.

Vidarbha’s bowlers ensured that Kerala didn’t overtake their total. Harsh Dubey (3/88 in 44 overs) was the most effective, maintaining tight lines and building pressure. Parth Rekhade (3/65 in 30 overs) and Darshan Nalkande (3/52 in 13 overs) also played crucial roles in limiting Kerala’s progress.

Vidarbha’s Second Innings – Nair Shines Again

With a slight lead of 37 runs, Vidarbha aimed to set up a challenging target for Kerala. Karun Nair once again stole the show with a brilliant 135 off 295 balls, playing a patient and composed innings. Danish Malewar (73 off 162 balls) and Akshay Karnewar (30 off 70) also provided valuable support, helping Vidarbha reach 375/9 in 143.5 overs before declaring.

Kerala’s bowlers tried to contain the scoring, with Aditya Sarwate picking up 4/129 in 44.5 overs. Jalaj Saxena (2/91), Eden Apple Tom (1/57), and MD Nidheesh (1/48) also contributed to restricting Vidarbha’s total.

Match Ends in a Draw

With a target of 413 runs, Kerala had a mountain to climb in the final innings. However, with limited time left in the match, the chase became improbable. Both teams eventually settled for a draw, concluding an intense and hard-fought Ranji Trophy final.

Vidarbha showcased a strong all-round performance, with Karun Nair being the standout performer. Kerala, despite their spirited fightback, could not force a decisive result. The match highlighted the resilience and determination of both teams, making it a memorable Ranji Trophy final.
