Prize Money Distribution:

• Winners: The champion team will be awarded $2.24 million.

• Runners-Up: The second-place team will receive $1.12 million.

• Losing Semi-Finalists: Each of the two teams eliminated in the semi-finals will take home $560,000.

• 5th and 6th Place: Teams finishing fifth and sixth will earn $350,000 each.

• 7th and 8th Place: The teams in seventh and eighth positions will receive $140,000 each.

• Participation Fee: All eight participating teams are granted a participation fee of $125,000.

• Group Stage Victories: Each win during the group stage comes with a bonus of $34,000.

Format

The tournament features eight top-ranked ODI teams divided into two groups of four. Group A includes Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan, while Group B comprises Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa. Each team plays the others in their group once, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The final is scheduled for March 9 in Lahore; however, if India qualifies, the venue will shift to Dubai due to diplomatic considerations.

This edition marks the return of the ICC Champions Trophy after an eight-year hiatus, with Pakistan hosting an ICC event for the first time in 28 years. The substantial increase in prize money reflects the ICC’s commitment to enhancing the tournament’s prestige and rewarding teams’ performances on this prominent platform.
