India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the Kanpur Test, winning the two-match Test series 2-0. Team India was set a target of 95 runs, which Rohit and company chased down with the loss of three wickets. After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Bangladesh scored 233 runs in their first innings. In response, India declared their first innings at 285 for nine, gaining a 52-run lead. Bangladesh then managed to score 146 runs in their second innings, setting a target of 95 runs for India.

In a Test match, a total of 90 overs are officially bowled in a day. Bangladesh played 74.2 overs in their first innings, India faced 34.4 overs in their first innings, Bangladesh played 47 overs in their second innings, and India completed their chase in 17.2 overs in their second innings. Altogether, around 174 overs were bowled in the match, which is less than the total 180 overs typically bowled across two full days of play.
