Jannik Sinner Shines as Italy Reaches Davis Cup Semifinals

Jannik Sinner has been hailed as “one of the best No. 1s in tennis history” by Argentina’s captain Guillermo Coria. The Italian star led his team to victory in the Davis Cup quarterfinals against Argentina.

After Lorenzo Musetti lost the opening match, Sinner leveled the tie. He crushed Sebastian Baez 6-2, 6-1 in the second rubber. In the doubles decider, Sinner teamed up with Matteo Berrettini. They defeated Argentina’s Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 6-4, 7-5.

Coria praised Sinner’s skill and determination. “We faced one of the best No. 1s in history,” he said. Italy now moves on to face Australia in the semifinals.
