Why did Southee resign from the captaincy?
Southee explained why he stepped down from the captaincy, stating, “I have decided to resign for the good of the team. Captaining New Zealand has been incredibly special for me. I have always prioritized the team throughout my career, and I believe this decision is the right one for the team. Now, I can better serve the team by focusing on my performance.”
